On September, 28^th, 1999, Mr. Rudolf Gast, his title chairman of honour was f i r e d by the membership assembly of the Gehoerlosen-Sportverein Muenchen with great majority.

Reasons:

!.

Mr. Rudolf Gast in his function as first chairman of the Bavarian Organization for the Deaf, has being against the acception of the German sign-language for many years.

2. He informed the newspaper of Bad Tölz (Münchner Merkur) that he is against the construction of the new Deaf-Centre in Munich and besides he wants to cut the contact with Munich

Mr. A.Schneid and Mr. S. Wessel during our meeting could inform us that R. Gast has never accepted in the interest of the GSV members, although he already was criticized by the election party on March 7^th, 1997 in public.

Besides in his last ten years of membership as a chairman of honour it was frustrating for all members what he has done and more much worse than in his work of 30 years membership before. There was also declared that sports for deaf people doesn’t function without sign-language.
Besides he hindered the construction of the new Deaf-Centre in Munich by all means. Because of these happenings a lot of members have been ashamed that Mr. Gast is still a chairman of honour in our organization.
During the separate members meeting the majority voted against R. Gast and surprisingly he accepted.
In the meantime he has left our GSV Munich to our relief.
